The VPF-730 sensor is a friendly forward scatter sensor for measuring visibility and current climate (WMO 4680), capable of measuring precipitation type and intensity. Sensors are compact and durable instruments, making them ideal for use in extreme weather conditions. The sensor is designed to accurately measure visibility, and the instrument has a lifespan of over 20 years.

measuring principle

The sensor calculates the total number of discrete light particles passing through the sampling chamberEXCO (Atmospheric Extinction Coefficient) can evaluate MOR (Meteorological Optical Range) to determine visibility.
